We are excited to announce that Gorgeous Festival 2013 will now be a stunning two day event at the beautiful Serafino Winery in McLaren Vale on Friday 22^nd and Saturday 23^rd November!

Gorgeous Festival, a highlight in the Australian cultural calendar, returns in 2013 to the picturesque town of McLaren Vale in South Australia. Experiencing extensive growth in the last two years, the Festival’s directors, Alistair and Sally Cranney, are excited to announce that Gorgeous Festival will expand in 2013 to run across two days, Friday 22^nd and Saturday 23^rd November and move to a new location at Sarafino Winery in McLaren Vale.  Visit www.serafinowines.com.au for more info on this picturesque new site!

In 2012 a stellar line-up graced the main stage with premium acts including ARIA Award winner Missy Higgins, Dan Sultan, Gossling, The Preatures and many more. Food and wine lovers enjoyed exquisite cuisine with dishes from award-winning restaurants such as Fino, d’Arrys Verandah, the Elbow Room and a live masterclass with well know South Australian chef Bradd Johns all the while sipping on some of the best wines in the region. Nine wineries including Paxton and Wirra Wirra showcased their latest harvests for festival goers to enjoy. And for the first time a festival crèche was made available for junior Gorgeous Festival attendees so all the family could enjoy the festival atmosphere.

Gorgeous Festival’s roots lie in the McLaren Vale wine region, celebrating local produce and premium wines. The festival however has created a broad national appeal by having some of the country’s top Australian artists to preform on the main stage as well as creating opportunities for up and coming musicians in association with event partner APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association) and in 2013 the art prize will be open to entrants nationally. Gorgeous Festival attracts interstate festival goers to the wine region with accommodation selling out well before the festival date.
